Founder, Bilingual Neuropsychologist

Yurivia Cervantes-Manzo, PhD

Dr. Cervantes-Manzo is the Founder of Cervantes-Manzo Psychological Services, PC “CMPS”. She is a bilingual Neuropsychologist (English/Spanish), specializing in the assessment and treatment of adults with cognitive, emotional, and behavioral symptoms. She is particularly sensitive to the intricacies of culture and language on functioning and has worked in diverse settings with diverse populations, providing neuropsychological services to a range of individuals with multiple comorbidities.

Dr. Cervantes-Manzo is paneled through the Los Angeles County Superior Court as a Neuropsychology expert witness. She has consulted on multiple county and federal criminal cases across the state of California. She has also served as a consultant for local community healthcare entities.

Dr. Cervantes-Manzo has supervised and mentored numerous doctoral-level students seeking to become psychologists/neuropsychologists and provided training to psychiatry residents as a Health Sciences Clinical Assistant Professor through the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.

Jordan Lara, PsyD

Dr. Lara is registered with the Board of Psychology in California as a Psychological Associate (PSB94026826) and is working under the direct supervision of Dr. Cervantes-Manzo (PSY 29786). She has worked in a variety of mental health settings serving diverse populations in English and Spanish.

Dr. Lara is a BIPOC therapist with training and experience in working with clients from various backgrounds, ages, and identities. She practices from a relational psychodynamic model with an emphasis on attachment styles. She is passionate about helping culturally and ethnically diverse clients learn how to navigate the weight of racism, discrimination, and microaggressions. She is trained in both English and Spanish to serve bilingual and monolingual Spanish-speaking Latinx and Hispanic clients. She also helps emerging adults work through identity questions and life transitions. Dr. Lara wants to support individuals as they discover what it means to “thrive” in their current spaces.
